Should I?...

I used to play soccer, and recently I've been really missing it... I definetely want to play soccer again this year, but I can't decide between recreation and competition. I played competition for a year before I quit, and by the end of the season, I wasn't liking it. I'm thinking that I might like it more know, and I do have a lot of time on my hands, but I can't decide if I should go back to recreation. I know not many people read my blog, but if you do... help???

  1. Well, I think you're wrong about one thing. If you hated its guts before, most likely you will at least semi-hate it now. So I'd go rec. Less pressure, more fun. GO REC ALL ZE WAY! But you can do whatever.

  2. Seriously, you can do whatever is better for you (of course). Just don't feel pressured to do competition because it's more, ya know, higher level. Do what you think will be fun! If you think doing competition would be impressive, but very high pressure, and stressful, DON'T DO IT!!! If you think recreation would be fun and less pressure, do that. Don't care about how impressive one or the other would be. Do what YOU want.

  3. It's not really that one's more impressive than the other, It's more about other things. I really like training in winter, and being able to travel a lot and learn more. Plus you get closer to your teammates. I'm pretty good at soccer, and I kind of think that recreation soccer would be moving me backward you know?? I'm just worried that I'll be over-commiting myself if that makes sense.

  4. It does. Recreation wouldn't move you backwards, but it might keep you from progressing. Just REALLY think about it. Like I do competitive volleyball, and I like how it has improved my volleyball skills a LOT, but sometimes the hours are long and tiring, and my team can be annoying. So just think about it really hard, so you don't regret your decision.
